How Architecture chose me ?

Like most guys at 16, no real idea of a positive career at the point of leaving school … but … having grown up with a Father who was both Farmer and Builder, I was already in a position of choice. It soon became clear based upon a talent for Technical Drawing the construction industry beckoned. Family circumstances forced my Father from farming back into the building industry. At 17 I was needed to assist hands-on in assisting him to build our next home together. Coincidentally, at a time when I was also looking for my first job, I was accepted at interview to work for the Norwich Architect – Edward Skipper but he was descended/related to the famous George Skipper and on my way in an Architectural Career. After 13 years I set up my own practice based upon the reputation and contacts already built up. These established a firm base leading to work via recommendation, which continues to this day. A personal, bespoke service, offering a wealth of experience for all buildings.
